Last night, after all the festivities, I was spending time with Tom and Jude, working on his blanket.

He is still on the smaller side, so when he has a hard time staying covered with his toddler blanket, this is one that I've made.

When I was done, I just used scraps and added the left over fabric from the other two blankets.

It's a really fast project, and the whole family loves it.

Today I brought up the little ones to do some sewing.

We have a couple other toys that I'm going to bring out so that we can all do our own projects today, instead of just doing a couple at a time.

Fun stuff!

I spent the past couple of days teaching all of the kids how to sew on some fabric.

Even the little ones can make a square, an envelope and a button.

Next time I'll bring the sewing machine, so that we can make a real envelope.

We may need to go over sewing safety a little more, but the kids are doing great.

We've also started to collect fabric for a rag quilt for one of the little girls who is going to be very close to Ruby's age when she comes home.

Her foster mom loves to sew, so I'm looking forward to using some of her wonderful fabric.

I had a great time sewing yesterday, especially since I was using some scrap fabric from another project
