Chocolate chips

Chocolate chips are only around $1. 69 per pound at Aldi's, and it's hard to find other things that I need to make it worth it to go out.

It's a good thing I have plenty of other recipes that can replace some of the old favorites!

When I started my blog in December 2008, I had no idea that I would still be blogging over a year and a half later!

Thanks to all of you who read it!

I can't imagine having this blog and ending it during the Christmas season, but I'm sure I would have regretted it for a long time afterward!

Merry Christmas from me to you!

Here are a few of the decorations I put out this year.

This little baby is the second ornament I've made from the Eleanor Burns Bitty Book Owl pattern.

She is all cozied up on the mantel with a few of her friends, like the red bird and the Christmas tree with glittery ornaments.

Last year, I made the owl ornament for my mom.

My stepdad's favorite thing about Christmas is the snowman, so he has the snowman and my mom has the owl!

These wooden owl decorations were a craft project I did in Girl Scouts years ago.

I love that you can't tell which one is which with them on the tree!

Some day, when I have a girl or children of my own, I think I will hang their ornaments up with these wooden ones.

I have always loved owls and this was one of my first craft projects as a child.

The painted owls are from Hobby Lobby and I think I paid $0. 88 each.

Some day, I hope to be able to make many more of these.

This little nativity is the first one I have made for my own tree.

I started collecting Nativity sets a few years ago and I love them all.

I usually pick out the ones that go with my home or bedroom, but I am happy with how this one turned out.
