Thank you stickers
When he came back in, I told him we were a team and that he was a great coach.
I told him that I was doing this not just for me, but for our whole family.
That I didn't want to let them down, especially my oldest son and my husband.
He looked at me with tear - filled eyes and asked, "Why don't you let me coach him?"
"Yes," I replied, "that would be wonderful."
At that point, I truly believed that he was truly going to do it.
Unfortunately, when the time came to start the practice, he just couldn't.
I know, I know, not my first choice.
But, when you love the game as much as I do, I know that it was hard for him to give it up.
I told him that if he kept the uniform and tried, then I would always be proud of him.
When I think back on our conversation, I truly believe that it was God talking to me.
I asked, "God, do you really want me to do this?
This is a huge leap of faith."
I honestly didn't think I would get the answer that I got, but I did.
